Question

I have been using Novolog in my insulin pump for the past three years and have not been successful in attaining very good control. I am interested in learning how effective Symlin is in an insulin pump on postprandial blood glucose levels.

Answer

Symlin has not been approved for use in insulin pumps, so trying it as you suggest would be "off-label." You'd need to discuss this with your physician.
