Two drugs used to control diabetes [metformin and insulin] do not reduce signs of inflammation that are linked with heart disease, researchers say.
After 14 weeks, the team found the drugs helped lower blood glucose levels, but had little effect on inflammation.

continuous glucose monitors (CGM)
showed that regular use of CGM devices is the principal factor in achieving better diabetes control, and that
people using CGM were able to sustain good diabetes control and lower the incidence of hypoglycemia.
